RoadTrip Diary - Day 0 - San Diego

Sitaram and Meha are here in San Diego. They arrived today afternoon. Its good to see both of them again...almost after a year.

All of us are indeed excited abt the roadtrip.

The weather in southern utah and northen arizona dosn't look promising. Yesterday I did plenty of browsing on weather forcast. A storm system is coming form northen california and moving to utah and then to new mexico.. Called zion and bryce vistor center to get more information.

I have also looked for alternate route thru I-10. The I-10 also has bunch of National Parks in AZ, NM, and TX, but all of them are sort of in dessert route. New orleans and further destinations are lil bit flaky at this point.. but... we still want to continue over I-40 irrsepctive of how weather is... We have planned and read so much abt I-40 destinations that its hard to change the mindset ..Worst case, we will face harsh weather.. so what ? If snow chains are must then most porbabaly bryce will be dropped. I hope atleast zion and monument valley will be easily accessible.

Nitin and Namita went to Phx-Flagstaff-GC-Page-Monument Valley-Vegas loop. Most probably , we will meet them on Wed night in Page.

Lets see how it goes.. Tomorrow, I just want to get out of office asap and be on the road for Vegas.
