Open Book..

"Life is an open book".. whoever said that, Its a great statement "philosophically" or "spiritually"..... but "literally" its damn scary !!

Yesterday, I received my credit reports from three credit agencies. This is the first time I have requested them and I got shocked by what I saw inside. They, probably govt knows most of the stuff about me.. my personal info, residential records, employer records and credit card records since last four years. In residential records, they knew each and every temporary place I stayed in, Employer record shows my joining dates, credit card record shows when I have paid each and every credit bill and how much was the balance every time... Unbelievable.. and everything is protected with a (public-or-supposedly-private) key... my SSN.. Just one "mouse click" reveals everything !!

Life in USA is indeed an open book... check your open book today before it gets closed !!

So the question pops up... Is this govt really "democratic"? hmmmm.. lets see..

- According to my open book, all my personal records are already with govt..
- What abt bank records? Ohh.. Feds are already tracking all global bank transfers
- What abt cell phone talks or personal data?.. FBI is already on it
- What abt my personal activities like browsing? Feds are requesting search queries from all search engine giants. Though google has denied it, Yahoo MSN & AOL are already pumping their data to Feds.

Last but not least..

- What's the deal with biometric passports? Providing my "unique" finger prints and retina records to govt for sake of "security"..
- Installing RFID chips in human body to track a human. One such RFID manufacturer is already going for an IPO this year. Congratulations !!
- Big Brother camera & speaker system to monitor and control you... Communist govts like North Korea already have these systems in "every" household since last couple of decades.. thats why they are called "communist".. Isn't it? but now what abt UK?

If govt is collecting personal data, establishing infrastructure to track, monitor and control people for "security" reasons, then they have to define the scope, otherwise soon it will clash with "Freedom".. As George Orwell said it precisely that such a "Freedom is Slavery" !!

Duhhhhh...

Democratic govt and Communist govt... I guess the borderline is becoming really hazy... You never know when Nineteen-Eighty-Four will turn into reality..

God bless us... I mean to say.. "Govt bless us" !!

whenever i heard "god bless america" i got confused. "they already own a lot comfortably enough..they move a big step ahead of many other countries..if so, why they can't say generously ..god bless other developing countries..".
I don't think that democratism and communism is opposite systems to be compared because communism doesn't mean controlling people. Though capitalism and communism might be a correct comparison in terms of how to accept market economics.

Why will american citizens ever say "God bless Iraq or India"... they dont care.. infact same thing applies to me or you.. or our countries..

hmmm.. I have already heard your views of communism.. you are the first person I have heard saying "communist govt in north korea is good for people"... so.. no comments on this one from my side :) !!

I didn't say that (north korea..). If it was delivered t o you in that way, maybe either it was due to my poor english or you just listened some fragment of our conversation rather than understanding the whole context. Anyway, communism as ideology must be different from how they were exercised in those countries.
And also, I think that very strong patriotism is dangerous because it may shut off our attention to other people's interest(if those are issues of survival to them but to us, it is issues of owning more for convenience..). Too extreme??

Naaaah.. i still remember our conversation.. Infact we discussed this the day after a program on PBS (i guess Frontline)..where they showed life of couple of families in north korea.. at that time you said that "life in north korea is not that bad"... hmmm ..and i totally disagreed with that comment... and i still do !!
